Garlic Honey Chicken (Innus style) toddler foods

A very big hai, to everyone who are following my blog post and a special welcome to everyone who landed here….. Hope you all tried Prawn curry and enjoyed this lockdown phase with your loved ones.

Garlic Honey Chicken

Today lets all try something unique using chicken….which was introduced by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmXmjBS5XgA and we tried our version……

Lets enjoy our version of Garlic Honey Chicken……

  • white pepper
  • spices
  • Salt
  • cornflour
  • boneless chicken
  • oil
  • Garlic smash
  • honey, soya sauce, ketchup
  • cooked chicken
Steps involved….

The preparation of garlic honey chicken is divided into two steps, they are marination and cooking.

Marination

For marination we need boneless chicken and add the spices, salt, freshly crushed pepper and corn flour. After marination keep it aside for a while for the chicken to absorb spices. After marination fry those pieces double time for the crisp chicken..

Cooking

Add oil in a pan, then add garlic and saute a little then add tomato ketchup, soya sauce and honey, saute them a little and then add the double fried marinated chicken.

Here comes our garlic honey chicken freshly cooked from our kitchen and today I served it as below.

Boiled millets, dal curry and quail egg.

You can serve them with any main course and it goes well with the dish.

Prawn Curry
Prawn Curry

A very big hai to everyone who are following my blog posts. Hope you are all doing good during this lock down period. Though Covid is a pandemic, it is making us to be creative in all the ways we can. Today, being a Kanyakumarian lets try our hands on sea food. The dish was taught by my aunt during our visit to her home and here is a small glimpse of our travel.

Kanyakumari, being surrounded by sea in all the three sides of the district, we are more addicted to fish than any other non veg. A variety of fish is a staple food of our district, like potato and carrots in Germany. The following video is one of the famous dish, from our German diaries which was introduced to us by our friends in church. Check out the video to know how its all made, resulting in one of the best food for toddlers.

Last week we tried, making a special, using prawns. For people who haven’t went through the post here is the link to that post. Have a look on the post if you are new to the site and enjoy cooking.

Butter Prawn Gravy
Butter Prawn Gravy

Lets start the making of prawn curry. For the curry we need the following ingredients.

For Marination.

Thanks to the website www.yourorder.org for the home delivery of fresh prawns during the pandemic.

1kg ரால் – Medium Size Prawn
Link to order online for the fishes.

Marinate the cleaned prawns by adding the above ingredients in the picture. Keep it aside for sometime for the prawns to get marinated. Meanwhile we can start cooking.

Prawn gravy

To make curry add oil in a pan and then add spices, add ginger garlic paste and saute them. Adding ginger garlic paste before onion gives a better aroma for the dish. Then add onion and saute them till it becomes golden brown. After which add tomatoes and saute them. Before adding prawns, add tamarind puree, and then add prawns. Cook until it becomes soft.

Serve them with Rice, Chappati or bread. It goes well with any main course.

Enjoy cooking and send us your cooked pics by tagging @iniyaworld_lifestyle in Insta.

Lets meet again with a new post…..Keep on following us…….have a great day ahead.

Innus Tiramisu Cake a unique cake to rock the dessert table
Innus Tiramisu Cake

Its been quite so long since I have uploaded a post in our #learning_along_with_innus, a very big hai to everyone who are following my blog post and a special hai to everyone who landed up here surprisingly. Wishing you all a great day…..

We are fine here among the pandemic situation and hope the same from my readers around the world. This pandemic has made everyone either to blog or vlog. Am so happy to see that so many are following my footprints. Thanks to Lord that he made me to dive into these earlier in 2017. Without any further ado lets dive into todays post……

For those who are following my posts the word learning along with Innus is familiar…..last week we had a special week…baking week in #learning_along_with_innus.. Yes, we tried our hands on so many different flavours in cake…from Rambutan cake to the Innus Tiramisu cake…. When people ask whats Innus….its our duty to explain the story….it’s my daughter’s name coined by my Anni (brother’s wife) during our Skype call in Germany when Iniya was months old, for which my princess responded…..and thus came our tag Innus in all our creations from Iniyaworld…. Thank you so much Anni for coining a nickname for Iniya…

It was from July 1 2015, I came across the word Tiramisu from bakery, ice cream shops and so on….especially in Metzingen during our very first visit

Our very first visit to Metzingen the outlet city in Baden Württemberg

From there our search of Tiramisu flavour started and here is our Innus Tiramisu Cake

Innus Tiramisu Cake

Am extremely sorry for the mess-up icing….pic… You may ask me why did you upload such a messy picture in the blog….for a mom this pic is highly precious when our hands were accompanied by little hands in icing who can’t even wait for the cake to cool down….. If this is the condition for icing think of the cake….it disappeared as soon as she cuts the cake…. This made me to remember the way she keeps on asking her dad to give her the cake when she was one year old…

Innus and her cake diaries……
Our love for coffee..

To get the Tiramisu flavour we just altered the ingredients with a teaspoon of instant coffee powder in the batter….and a coffee cream…by beating condensed milk, cream, coffee powder, from the following making.

Innus kiwi cake

Now during the lock down period the app

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mmciits.yourorder has saved me by their local supply of food ingredients…. Especially we KKians can’t survive without fish…. Thanks to their option of fish category too….

Hope you all enjoyed our way of Tiramisu cake making…..see you all with a next wonderful post…….

A very big hai to everyone who are following my blog post. Today lets have a glance on our funny cooking experiment. Its been quite a long since we could shop fresh sea food ingredient from our home town due to the covid. When I came across the home delivery of sea food we grabbed the option from here.

https://www.yourorder.org/product-category/fresh-meat-poultry-fish/

Prawn butter masala

I tried the dish due to its simplicity and calorific value for toddlers. Lets have a look on its making.

Marinate cleaned prawns with salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and ginger garlic paste. Fry the marinated prawns in butter. Set aside. In the same pot saute spices, onion, tomatoes and with the needed masala. Add prawns and sauce, then add the fresh cream and cashew nut paste and finally some kasuri methi dried leaves. Serve them with bread to rice. It goes well with all main course..

Thanks to everyone who have read the blog post…..

New Milestone

We are happy to share our next milestone in our baking diaries. Check out in WhatsApp for availability of order. Will be done only on pre order.

Innus Kiwi Cake

A very big hai to everyone who are following my blog posts. Hope you all enjoyed our previous post on our cooking diaries . Today let’s have a small journey of our baking diaries.

Cooking Diaries…

I had a very big dream of having a tinkerbell theme for Innus bday and to my surprise we had the celeb of tinkerbell theme for her fourth birthday. Since her maamz was available during the first week of her birthday month, we had the first celebration with her maamz…..which we had penned in the following post…

Dragon fruit cake -celebrating Innus birthday
Dragon fruit cake

Finally we planned a tinkerbell theme for her birthday. For a crafty mom our hands go on to handmade items and for her tinkerbell theme, I tried this outfit for her and surprisingly she grabbed the point Never loose your sparkle….. after completing her outfits, she wanted a personal gift and I took her to select her birthday gift for her to treasure.

Never loose your sparkle

Finally for her cake to go along with the theme we kept on searching the Google, finally we selected Kiwi Cake which became a trademark of her fourth bday blast……

And for the second time, when we had the birthday blast of her maamz, he opted Kiwi and here is his birthday cake with butter cream frosting.

Procedure

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cup flour
  • 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100 gm unsalted butter
  • Kiwi fruit smash 1 cup
  • 2 eggs

For butter we can try homemade butter

Homemade ghee to give a perfect aroma for Indian dishes

Method

Beat butter to soft silky texture and add egg one by one. Beat them and then add sugar part by part. Beat them to form a silky texture. Add flour, and then add baking powder and soda. Beat them and add the fruit pulp. Pre heat oven at 160-180 degree Celsius. Pour batter in a greased plate and then bake for 20 mins.

Cool them and serve. If needed do icing. Enjoy your unique cake.

See you all soon with another post……

Cooking Diaries…Iniyaworld lifestyle: our experiments

A very big hai to everyone who are following my blog posts. Today let’s have a small rewind of our cooking diaries, with my little cooking companion.

Whenever I rewind my cooking diaries I could remember the first unique dish in my cooking experiment is the BREAD CURRY…..in which I tried replacing bread slices in a chicken curry…..after which the best learning from my cooking diaries is the making of noodles…. Making of noodles! Yes, the dish made me to learn that when numerous ideas pop up from the environment will end up in damaging the dish and when we praise the flop dish the cook will become an expert…… From there my journey of cooking experiments started……and it was on July 1 2015 I was sent into the cooking lab to do experiments with limited ingredients. For those who are following my blog posts are familiar that I won’t cook with a weighing scale….. my first tug up war was with the hot plate…. Since my granny keeps on insisting clean kitchen even during cooking, I hate the spill of ingredients around the hot plate. But it took my brain to figure out a way there by I avoided the spill of milk and so on….. The next biggest challenge was dehydration since I was unfamiliar with the proper functioning of hot plate and my hyperemesis gravidarum condition resulted in fainting down…..when making tea. That’s when my gynaec scolded me to drink 3 litres of water daily….for the condition HG it’s like climbing the Himalayas daily….. From there the main cooking battle starts…..

When I was given the only option to use hot plate, I had to find the best way to stay safe……yes, I can handle the hot plate for 5 mins and within which I should do something and step out for 5 mins to avoid dehydration.. and moreover to handle HG without hospitalization our experiments are based on limited intake with high calories, even then I lost around 15 kg…..

The original battle starts here……from Jan 2016 with figuring intake of Innus with high balanced diet and dishes being suitable for Innus

Experiment of badam payasam

I remember trying this on 2015 feb 24 and that became a frequent dish after biryani….. it was on one fine day during a potluck I was teased stating I am good at desserts……from there I challenged myself.

Trying so many experiments…….

Blend of advent and Indian dish
Our advent potluck lunch
Trinelveli fame halwa with limited ingredients
Trinelveli halwa
pepper chicken
chicken curry
pepper chicken lasagne
smashed potatoes
Innus pasta
mango chia shake

The best moment is when our dish stands unique from the crowd……..and into the battle…

Innus pasta with Quinoa
Into the battle……..

Meanwhile I was very eager to learn baking cake too….and tried some experiments in that too….

Dragon fruit cake -celebrating Innus birthday
Dragon fruit cake
Jack Fruit Cake
Jackfruit cake
Quail egg curry
Dragon fruit cake without artificial flavouring agent
Egg pudding
Moka coffee
