Learning along with Innus-4 #Mandarin_duck

A very big hai to everyone who are following my blog posts.

For the past few days, I was writing about #hyperemesis_gravidarum, the way we handled the condition without medicines. So for a change let’s learn along with Innus.

We enjoyed growing along with pets during our childhood, while Innus was quite unlucky living in a far away land, that too in a 40sqm room, where pets became dream for Innus. To bridge the dream I tried my level best to enjoy with her along with the nature. That’s how the word #learning_along_with_innus grew. With much viciousness let’s move on to today’s post.

When Innus was six months old, we had a visit to Munich regarding his job hunt in 2016. And during our visit, we had some fun-time in Englischer Garten, in Munich. That’s when we found a unique bird flying high around us. We tried hard to capture the snap of the bird, and when we captured the bird with artificial eyes, we were unaware of the bird’s name and we came to know that it’s Mandarin duck after some Google.

So here is the result of our search in Google. The Mandarin ducks are colourful ducks which got migrated from Asia and are called perching ducks. They normally live near water bodies, and that’s how we witnessed this beautiful species of ducks roaming around us in Englischer Garten and they add beauty to the artificial river flowing through the garden.

Let’s meet up again with a new post on #learning_along_with_innus soon.

Our field visits- succulents collection from Derendingen

A very big hai to everyone who are following my blog posts on various topics.

Today we can have a field visit along with Iniya to Derendingen a small town near Tübingen. The way we mark our visits will be familiar for the one who are following my previous posts. For new travellers of our blog have a quick glance on my previous posts to know more about our travel jars.

One fine afternoon, after our Sunday service in Dietrich Bonhoeffer Kirche, we planned our visit to Derendingen. Derendingen is a small town near Tübingen. We played in the fields, for Iniya to have a wonderful day. Yes, we learn along with Innus. On our way to the field we found some succulents and I packed some for our indoors. Since the weather in Germany played a major role for plants, we ought to plant them indoors. I made a big carpet out of gelbsac and taught Innus to plant the succulents. This made to remember my grandpa who taught us gardening. Though, he was a retired sub judge, from Tamil Nadu, he made us to plant various plants, so that we could know the pain of others. Since, he planted various habits which are peculiar, I decided to plant those on Innus.

We planted those succulents on a ceramic plate as a method of recycling. And finally the succulents became my backdrop for those little Easter egg basket. That’s what we can try in a 40 sqm room. But now she has a wonderful garden with pets to wake her up in the morning.

I just remember the proverb “if it is not bended before five years old it won’t get bend”.

Keep on traveling with us….see you soon with another post.

Learning along with Innus 2 #free_land_chicken

A very big hi to everyone who are following my blog post.

Today the post is all about the way we(innus and me) learn new things during our field visits. I was born in India were my childhood summer holidays holds most of my field visits in my maternal grand parents home. I remember holding my grandpa’s hand, joining him to the fields, while they harvest rice, coconut and so on. The house was two storey cottage with wide varieties of coconuts, jackfruit, tamarind, mangoes and so on. We had cattle collections and chicken was the most common one. That’s how I enjoyed my childhood days in a 1800 sqm home.

The biggest shock which welcomed me in Germany was the 40sqm room. Where I should be with my daughter for 24*7, since the weather was horrible to adapt and I should get appointment from his boss for him to join us for a walk. Meanwhile I came to know that there is free land chicken farm in Derendingen and we had a visit to the farm. Just to give a sample of my childhood days for my daughter though we enjoy our day time with crafts. We spend our day in our cooking lab experimenting new dishes with limited ingredients. That’s how we added up our file with #learning-along-with-innus.

Fun filled learning through nature part 1

Iniya was born in Tübingen a very small peaceful town in Baden-Wurttemberg region of Germany.  The city is centred by the river Neckar and hence the nature plays well at it’s maximum level. Though we had many options to enjoy the nature, weather won’t allow us to do so. During the most horrible weather we (Iniya and myself) will be in 40 sqm room doing all sort of crafts. You can enjoy them along with us in our YouTube channel.

I remember my childhood days spending our summer vacation in grandpa’s home. Though my grandpa is a retired sub judge he plays equally with us. I remember him taking us to sea shores to play with sand as my grandma won’t let us to do.

When we are alone in our room, I used to think how my daughter is missing those nature fed childhood days. Suddenly God planned a surprise Indian trip and I was happy that my little naughty is going to enjoy nature in my parents home surrounded by coconut trees, jackfruit trees, mango trees and so on.

As she was enjoying her Tarzan life we planned a visit to Managudy beach one of the worst affected zone of Tsunami. The backwaters gave us a wonderful scene and long ahead there were some cranes enjoying the sunset and waiting for their dinner. On seeing them my mom made her to spell the word ” kokku ” meant crane in our maternal language Tamil. Thank God I could capture her saying the word.

Still now am praising God for playing hide and seek game for Iniya to  enjoy her nature fed childhood days.

Keep on reading….more such wonderful parental experience are ready to come..

Hope you all will be eager to enjoy the beauty of our district.

A day in our life in Kanyakumari where the three oceans meet..
